Kathy Palomo, B.S., M.Ed. is a statewide consultant in the areas of Behavior Management, Autism Spectrum Disorders and children’s mental health issues. She received her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education/Special Education from The University of North Texas and her graduate work in Educational Psychology/Special Education was completed from The University of Houston. Kathy has been a classroom teacher, owned a respite company, provided years of in-home and parent training, served as an Autism/Behavior Specialist for 10 years to a local school district, presented for local groups as well as statewide conferences, and has been consulting for over 17 years.
She provides on-site consultation to create positive solutions for challenging situations. Kathy has presented on numerous topics in formal and informal forums, supports first year teachers through Education Service Center-Region 13 and is a founding member of CenTex Behavior Specialist Network. Kathy is well known and respected in her field for successfully teaching and supporting families, educators, and students.
